Getting found locally
Most photography clients search with a place in mind, such as “wedding photographer” plus a county, or “headshots” plus a city. Your site names the areas you cover and the venues or locations you know, alongside a map with your radius. Clear local wording helps search engines match you to those searches, though no one can promise where you will rank.
Your Google Business Profile is a good second shop window for your images, so link it to your site and keep adding recent work. If you use online booking, the Google review request add-on (£2.50 a month) asks clients for a review after each booking. Genuine reviews from couples and families carry real weight with people choosing someone to capture a big day.

Can I use my own photos and videos throughout?

Can I take a booking fee or deposit online?
Yes. Card payments cost £2.50 a month plus provider fees, and suit booking fees, deposits for shoots and print or album orders.
I shoot weddings and headshots. Can one site do both?
Yes. List both as separate services with their own packages, and use your three extra pages to go into detail on each. Contact Sheet works well for photographers with a mix of work.
Do I need a custom domain?
It is optional, but a domain like yournamephotography.co.uk looks good on cards and at wedding fairs. It costs £2.50 a month, and a matching email address is £2.50 a month each.
